在拜访精神病院时 ，一个访客问院长∶「如何知道一个精神病患者是否已经可以出
院了 ? 」
A man who are visiting a mental hospital, asked the president of the
hospital, “How do you judge that a madman is health enough, and to be
allowed to leave the hospital?”
院长说∶「我们会将一 个浴缸放满水，然后提供一个汤匙 ，一个茶杯，和一个水桶
给某位病人，然后叫他 ( 她 ) 把浴缸的水弄掉。」
“It is easy” , the president replied, ” We will prepare a fulfilled
bathtub, then give a tea spoon, a cup and a bucket to the man, let him
empty the bathtub”.
「噢！我了解了。 」这个访 客说 : 「一个正常人会选择用水桶，因为它比汤匙和
茶杯都 来得大。 」
“Oh, I got it,” the visitor said excitedly, ”Without doubt, a healthy
man will choose the bucket, it is larger than both spoon and cup!”
院长的答案在下面∶
The president’s answer is blow:
「不 ! 」院长说 : 「一个正常人会把浴缸底的塞子拉起来就好了，你要不要来个靠
窗户的床位呀 ? 」
“God bless you, ” the president commiseratively answered, “a man who is
completely normal, will just pull out the cork… Would you like to book a
